Jack and I met with the VERY EXPENSIVE surgeon this morning. He confirmed the diagnosis with more Xrays and went through the procedure and recovery with us. Job is in surgery today and we will pick him back up tomorrow. He is going to have pins in his shoulder in order to reattach the bone which broke off. The doc has only seen this case twice in the past ten years! It is a complicated surgery, but the recovery is the hardest part. He has to stay immobile for 4 weeks, so it looks like the little guys home will be a crate. We will have to keep him away from Ladybug and moving around otherwise, he could have a bum shoulder and leg for the rest of his life.....It is so sad seeing our poor little guy limping around.....

Oh, your poor baby...I hope he did well in surgery, and recovers quickly. I can completely see how the accident happened; Beau is constantly ripping around on the leash, tripping himself & Gus, and getting wrapped around stuff.
Give him a get well pat from us! Let us know how he did!
We sure will. His surgery went well and he is being confined to a crate to keep him immobile for 4 weeks. It is soo sad to see him in there as an active puppy! Can't wait to see you all over Christmas!
